Initial Ideas Proposal

 horror; horror hq, horror international, scary one, 666 channel??? 

scare 666; efficient to find

slogan- you are what you watch, so watch nightmare 666, and watch your nightmares come to life 

or ... and become your worst nightmare. 

or ... so watch phobia 666 and face your fears

clown theme 

advert one; girl sat on sofa or bed, different cuts of her moving, watching the film it on tv or on her laptop, bored. ominous voice asks if she’s bored of being stuck at home, then asks are you home alone? a creepy laugh occurs, she looks at door, pov shot, door then closes on its own, turns back to girl who is terrified looking at the camera, then screen cuts to red (lighting) and shes dressed in a clown costume. 


advert two- two people walking down the street, either girl and boy or a nerd or jock to represent stereotypes, camera cuts to a red balloon floating towards them from other side of the street, camera follows the balloon and when it centres back on the two people they are dressed as clowns. use of mise en scene, such as darker lighting, clown costume etc, use a green screen? 


advert four- intertextuality examples, references to other horror clown films that are famous such as IT iconic scenes like georgie playing with the paper boats. rainy day. yellow rain coat, 

kids birthday party- party clown and young boy resembling georgie from it, person walks in and sees them, music from it plays, person is so influenced by it, they believe its happening right here and now, begins to act scared.


advert three- slight replica of advert one, but with a comedic twist, for example when the voice says are you home alone in advert one, instead a parent could come in and open the door instead of the door opening on its own like in the previous ad and say dinner is ready. then once girl has left the room, ominous music plays as a red balloon enters her room and floats around. 


fitting requirements of brief; will show representation through using multiple people that are different in appearance and character they are portraying, 

media language shown; lighting will be used as well as sound effects and costumes.

more practice in filming and taking shots, as well as editing

Educating No one

To learn editing skills as a class, we had to assign roles such as director, cameraman, and actors. The premise was to make a knock off educating yorkshire, and also create an element of supernatural or superpowers. After we had filmed this, we were then made to edit it individually. We had included talking heads, titles, cutaways, music, a variety of shots and voice overs. Overall, it was fun to edit and learn how to use premiere pro. I think my editing skills have greatly improved due to this and i enjoyed brainstorming ideas on how to portray certain characters. For example, we had a naughty student (played by joey) and then a teachers pet (played by Mia) as well as an 'odd student' that secretly has powers (played by Sinead.) here is an example of a cutaway used- as well as a shot from a talking heads clip and also where i utilised titles in order to introduce the show; here is the link to watch the full edited video; https://youtu.be/DYMwZpk_6tE

Kuleshov Experiment

This task was the first i’ve ever done involving cutaways and attempting to show an emotion through the use of them, the task itself was very fun and in this particular clip, we tried to portray someone scared or concerned by the danger sign on the wall.
